Today I am grateful for low tech. I figure I’m about twenty-five years behind on technology and that’s okay with me. I don’t have a “smart” technology in anything because I can barely afford to stupid technology, not to mention smart!
Smart costs a lot! Stupid is relatively cheap. Relatively. So I’ve never had my 400 billion slides from living in Asia put onto Discs or even into the computer, which I wouldn’t have a clue how to do anyway. I don’t have a smart board to project a collage of photographs or other information.
I have foam boards. . .cut ‘n paste foam boards and an honest to God antique (now) slide projector. Look in the middle of the picture and you youngsters can take a look at how we watched “movies” and projected selfies before Fios and I-Pads!
Someday I’ll leap-frog into this century, find the bucks and go high-tech, but for now I am grateful to wallow in the joy of a successful program, totally low tech. . .just like me.
